Self Discovery ....
Wanting to try coaching, but not sure what to expect? Here's what one of our clients has to say...
I found my first session helpful as it was a bit of a self discovery lesson. I had to write down things that I valued about myself which I don't like doing or even like talking about myself.
I found that asking someone else what they saw in me was a lot easier and they saw qualities in me that I didn't. I found this quite emotional knowing that I wasn't useless and I actually have a purpose to many.
In the following weeks I had several "tasks" to complete, including, writing down my core values, learning anchoring and 5,4,3,2,1 techniques. I have found different phrases to help in some situations such as "is this way I'm feeling of any use to me" also " don't give certain people (who aren't helping me) a seat at my table. The anchoring technique is very helpful and is now second nature.
From my chats with Caroline we've worked out that I'm an "over analyser" and as such I get too emotionally involved with things which I don't need to get involved in.
I feel our chats have really helped me discover myself, they've opened my eyes to reasons why I feel the way I do and how to learn to cope with things and situations.
I feel like I'm on the right path and the people closest to me have said they have noticed a difference. I do miss our chats !
Onwards and upwards, a million mile walk can only be done one step at a time!
